Fantinel was founded in 1969, thanks to the hard work and enthusiasm of Mario Fantinel, a hotelier and restaurateur in Ravascletto, Carnia. “Paron” Mario bought the initial vineyards in the Dolegna Collio area with the intention of making top quality wines to offer his increasingly demanding and first class customers. His talent marries well with his love for the land, the vineyards and the grapes.

The dream becomes truth and his satisfaction become public recognised. His sons shares the same vocation and help him to handle the company. Today also the heirs cooperate and this confirms that love for vineyards flow in Fantinel’s family blood. Fantinel is one the most popular wine producers in Italy. The estate is extended for 250 ha and the market strategy has always been the respect for traditions and the constant research in order to improve the quality. Right production techniques and taste distinguish the best wine: a spontaneous element for Fantinel Family. The vineyards come from Collio and Grave zones, in Friuli region. In Collio hills, close to the Slovenian frontier, there’ s the perfect microclimate, as well as in the hills of Grave, towards Venice. All Fantinel’s products have an original characteristic: they are the results of ancient vineyards and have a smooth and gentle aroma, created from tradition and love for taste.
